  • We have all felt immediately welcomed by Glebe House and I am reluctant to leave. We have cycled, walked, eaten and staged a Nativity Play, played Trivial Pursuits, read and rested. Mum is coming back alone to read more in that wonderful library! Sheena and family.
  • Superb relaxing weekend in tranquil surroundings. Will definitely be back. Peter and Marion.
  • Found the house to have a wonderful atmosphere. Everybody immediately found the house to be friendly (a home from home). It would be hard not to relax in this atmosphere. Completed  the St Cuthbert's Way in our 6 days finishing on Holy Island. Glebe House was a wonderful base for us all!

  • A week walking the St. Cuthbert's Way, from Melrose to Lindisfarne, on Holy Island. Glebe House has been an excellent base. We have thoroughly enjoyed the space here and the gentility of the house. Franklins and friends
  • The vets in Kelso were fantastic Ann, Milton Keynes. Looking forward to Murder in the Dark at New Year when we return!
  • The  4 boys under 10 discovered the stream and spent several happy hours in it each day - they had wet suits. At the bend they discovered "the current of cool" where they could launch themselves in and be borne along for 15 yards -------"better than Play Station!"  Melrose Abbey is great and wonderful ice creams just opposite! Farne Islands and Seahouses are well worth the one hour journey.  Can confirm the excellence of the Morebattle butcher! - closes 12 noon Saturdays.  Enjoyed the library in the house.  Mitchisons from Bristol.
  • Tiny Elizabeth has to come back to Glebe House for this is where she was born in 2003. We have returned to much loved Glebe House briefly but want to come to stay again! Marion Pensacola, Florida USA.
  • Clean and warm and lots of space. Easy to get to our work in Kelso. Herbert and work mates from Germany. (Built the Lidl store in Kelso)
  • A great break celebrating a big birthday with a houseful of friends. We have walked, mountain biked, fished, golfed, shot clays (at Roxburghe) played croquet by lamplight, eaten that famous rack of Lamb from butcher Lees in Morebattle, laughed and enjoyed one another's company in front of the log fires in this favourite place. We will be back soon! Rolf, Peregrine, Vanessa from Exeter,  with friends from further a field.
  • Fantastic Christmas, the best 'cos we could all be together - you had the tree in place! Wonderful week with friends from Oz.  Jenn and Frank from Sydney, Australia
  • Wonderful house! Everything you could possibly need. Wonderful walks and the fishing was good too!
  • A family wedding with a marquee on the lawn for 150 guests. Married in the little church-a reception and then a true Scottish Ceilidh with the kilts swirling! Unforgettable! Frasers & BGs.
